Manthey Racing and the Porsche 992 GT3 RS: Pushing Performance Boundaries
Manthey Racing, renowned for its high-performance modifications and close association with Porsche, has been working on a more extreme version of the Porsche 992 GT3 RS. Spotted around the Nürburgring, the car's recent appearances without camouflage reveal a glimpse into the enhancements awaiting enthusiasts and track-day aficionados.

Manthey Racing's Expertise
Manthey Racing is celebrated for its prowess in motorsports and performance upgrades, now 51% owned by Porsche AG. This partnership ensures that Manthey’s kits for GT cars are available through Porsche dealerships while maintaining the vehicles' warranties. The latest project, the 992 GT3 RS MR, takes aerodynamics and performance to unprecedented levels.
Aerodynamic Enhancements
The modifications seen on the Nürburgring suggest a significant focus on aerodynamic improvements. The 992 GT3 RS MR features a larger rear wing, a vertical fin replacing the rear window, additional roof fins, and a redesigned rear diffuser. These changes aim to increase downforce, keeping the car glued to the track. Manthey Racing is also likely to reduce the car’s weight further and enhance its braking and suspension systems, although the engine is expected to remain unmodified.

Performance and Aesthetic Upgrades
In addition to aerodynamic tweaks, Manthey Racing's GT3 RS MR includes an active rear wing, larger diffuser, and a front lip spoiler. The rear window is replaced with a carbon piece fitted with a new wing. The car’s new aerodynamic wheels are now fully visible, shedding their previous camouflage. These enhancements cater to those who seek the ultimate in track performance and are willing to invest in pushing the limits of their 992 GT3 RS.

Future Prospects
The Porsche 992 GT3 RS MR is anticipated to set new benchmarks, potentially breaking lap records on the Nordschleife. As Manthey Racing continues to refine this model, it represents the pinnacle of track-focused engineering and design.
